• The kapat of Shri Badrinath Temple will open on 10th May 2019 at 04:15 AM & Shri Kedarnath Temples will open on 9th May 2019 at 5:35 AM.


1. The southern flank of the ancient and historical Sinhadwaar (Main Gate) of Shri Badarinath Temple was renovated keeping its original form intact.
2. To ban and discourage the use of polythene bags the Temples Committee encouraged the local artisans to produce baskets and bags made of local cane or rambans fiber for carrying the prasad.
3. Due to the efforts of the present committee there is huge amount of pilgrim turnout in the region which also increases the income of BKTC.
4. The Temples Committee has already launched its official website inaugurated by the formal Hon'ble Chief Minister of Uttarakhand ; www.badarikedar.org which gives very useful information regarding the significance of the temples, how to reach them, other places of pilgrim-cum-tourist interest, the facilities such as hotels and rest houses available, online donations, online puja and their rates, do's and donot's and much more.
5. Due to the efforts of the present committee the Nav Durga Temple at New Tehri has been Transferred from THDC to the Temple Committee by District Magistrate, Tehri Garhwal.
6. The Temples Committee Rest House at Pipalkoti, damaged by earth quake, has been rebuilt through Temple funds.
7. The Temple Committee has opened its Museum, Camp office & rest house at Chandra Badni Temple, Kargi Chowk, Dehradun. The land where it is established is donated by a devotee.
8. The Committee's Neelkanth and Dalmia rest houses at Badarinathji have been renovated and upgraded for the benefit of the pilgrims of Badarinathji.
9. The renovation and rehabilitation of Narsngh Temple at Joshimath has started.
10. Proposals have been made to donors to build Rainbaseras for the poor pilgrims on route to Badari-Kedar, with Bhandara arrangements. Arrangements are on to build at appropriate places clean and esthetically built public utilities.
11. To cater the rising requirements of increasing pilgrims every year the Temples Committee looks forward to build some new rest houses at new places.
